Design, Build & Comfort

The Rockerz 330 follows the same philosophy as its other cousins. It has a simple design that is similar to most other neckband wireless earphones. The design is very simple but good build quality definitely an attraction point here.

Boat Rockerz 330 Review

I really like the neckband of Bluetooth earphones, it features a high-quality skin-friendly silica gel, which offers a comfortable and premium feel. Yes, the neckband’s build quality feels really strong, but at the same time, it’s very flexible and lightweight. Apart from this, they’ve used aluminum alloy for the lower end of the neckband that houses buttons and a battery. Overall, the design and build of these earphones are really good and definitely justify the price tag.

The left side of the neckband is totally empty. On the right side, there is a USB Type-C charging port under the flap, small LED indicator light, and a microphone. The left part also has all the buttons that include the power / multi-function button on the top and the volume buttons on the opposite side, which means backside. I really appreciate this design, it looks very clean. You can also use the power button to play or pause and answer or reject a call. Similarly, the volume buttons can be used to switch the music tracks.

As far as comfort and fit are concerned, the Rockerz 330 is my cup of tea for sure. I really appreciate the lightweight design and comfort of these earphones. As I said, the earpieces are medium size and angled on the front side, which comfortably worn around for long hours (at least for me). It also comes with silicone ear hooks for extra comfort and feat. Additionally, the Bluetooth earphones have an IPX5 waterproof rating, so don’t worry about rain and sweat.

Connectivity & Microphone

In terms of connectivity, the Rockerz 330 supports Bluetooth v5.0 which is the latest one. I tested these earphones with iPhone and Oneplus 8 and I didn’t find any connectivity-related problem. It offers you a standard 7-8m Bluetooth range and works perfectly in any environment.

The Bluetooth headsets don’t have aptX codec support (we can’t expect it at this price point), so you need to settle with AAC and SBC codec. But you have dual paring and voice assistance support.

Coming to the microphone, it has a tiny microphone in the remote section which is decent in most cases. It works well in indoor use, but in outdoor use, this tiny mic still struggles to catch the voice with a stable frequency. For mic testing, please check the full review on our Youtube channel.

Sound Quality

Coming to the audio quality, these headphones Boat Rockerz 330 offer average sound quality and the overall tuning is very similar to other boat earphones. The 10mm drivers produce a good amount of volume and bass sound.

Boat Rockerz 330 review

The bass sound is really high, which you can call both advantage and disadvantage of these earphones. Because of the heavy bass tuning the vocal and treble sound is not very clear and a little bit overpowered, as well. If you are a bass lover then you will probably like these Bluetooth earphones. But if you want natural balanced audio tuning or want a good pair of earphones that will sound good on all types of music generations, then believe me the Boat Rockerz 330 is not the right choice for you. You have many good pair of neckband in this price segment that offers you overall better sound quality than this one.

Battery

The Boat promises about 30 hours of battery life, and it seems true. We were managed to get about 24 hours of battery life (70% volume) on a single charge, which is really good. Most of the Bluetooth earphones in this price range offer the same capacity. Yes, it also supports quick charging, which capable of fully charging earphones within 40 min. So, you can consider the battery as the main advantage of these neckband earphones.

Conclusion

To conclude, the Boat Rockerz 330 has the makings of decent pair of Bluetooth earphones. The build, comfort, battery life, and high bass are the prime points of these earphones. However, the sound quality of the earphones is the biggest disadvantage, the heavy bass sound gets really uncomfortable sometimes which makes me unable to recommend these earphones. If I was to sum these earphones up in one sentence, I’d say “get them for bass, leave them for the good sound quality.” If your budget for neckband earphones can be extended to another thousand bucks, I’d suggest you go with the OPPO Enco M31, Noise Flair, and Oneplus Bullet 2.
