Realme Buds 2 Neo are budget earphones in the market coming from Realme. The earphones come at a price point of Rs. 499 which is quite affordable. However, the earphones cannot be called the upgraded version of Realme Buds 2. One can call it the downgraded version of Realme Buds 2 which you will be seeing at a lesser price than the Realme Buds 2. If you are planning to buy Realme Buds 2 Neo, then this article will help you decide whether you should go for it or not.
Design, Build and Comfort
Talking about the build quality of the Realme Buds 2 Neo, the build quality of the earphones justifies their price. The earphone looks and feels premium. The cable is made up of TPU and is strong enough to handle daily wear and tear. It won’t break easily with daily usage. It has an L-shaped 3.5 audio jack to enhance its build quality.
The microphone is at the top-right side. Moreover, there is a single button to control the earphone, which is a multifunction button for music, voice assistant, incoming calls, etc. You won’t see the volume control buttons on the earphone.
Microphone
The microphone is decent on this one, and you can enjoy uninterrupted calling and the other party won’t face any problem. Considering the price point, the microphone on the earphones is quite good.
Sound Quality
Coming to the sound quality, the Realme Buds 2 Neo features 11.2mm drivers. The earphones aren’t very loud due to which the sound quality is clear. The bass is not high, which is again a good thing about this earphone. Due to the high bass sound, every other earphone has low vocals and treble. But that is not the problem with this one, because the bass along with the treble and vocal is maintained on this one.
However, you may notice some distortion on the Realme Buds 2 Neo, which you can call the small con of this earphone.
Final Word
Overall the Realme Buds 2 Neo are good, but compared to the Realme Buds 2, they feel downgraded. The sound quality on the Realme Buds 2 was better than this one. Compared to other earphones in the price segment of Rs.500, such as Redmi basic, Boat Bass Head 162, Boat Bass Head 172, or Boat Bass Head 182, the Realme Buds 2 Neo feels much more comfortable. Moreover, the sound on the Buds 2 Neo is balanced. You can call it a gaming-friendly earphone. It is because the bass on it is decent, and the treble is on a higher side. If you are looking for an earphone under Rs.500 specifically for gaming, then this wouldn’t disappoint you.
