For all the Vloggers out there, Sony has a great surprise for you as the tech giant recently launched the “Sony ZV-E10” camera designed specifically for vlogging and vloggers. Not only does the ZV-E10 come with Sony’s exceptional image processing technology, but it also houses several custom-built features that would be beneficial for vloggers.
It is the second model in Sony’s ZV series and a successor to the Sony ZV-1. Although the ZV-E10 follows the footsteps of the ZV-1, there is a huge difference between the two. Unlike the ZV-1 that had fixed lenses, the ZV-E10 has interchangeable camera lenses. With that being said, let us have a look at the features that the Sony ZV-E10 has to offer.

The heart of the ZV-E10 is its 24.2-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor coupled with BIONZ X image processing technology. Thanks to this, the camera is able to produce stunning images with detailed textures and a bokeh effect that looks extremely natural. This setup also allows you to capture 4K videos at 30 FPS while you can record Full HD videos at 120 FPS.
A lot of blogging-specific features present on the ZV-1 have been carried on including the “Background DeFocus” option that lets you switch between a sharp and a bokeh(blurred) background with ease. Additionally, the highly appreciated “Product Showcase Setting” feature that allows the camera to shift its focus from the subject’s face to the object that is being highlighted by the vlogger is also present.
One of the most practical features of the ZV-E10 is the presence of a dedicated button that allows you to switch between Photo, Video, Slow, and Quick modes. It means that all you need to do is press a button if you want to record slow-mo videos without having to modify the settings manually.
Sony is well-known for its Auto Focus technology and it seems like they have maintained their reputation with the ZV-E10 as well. The camera includes Fast Hybrid AutoFocus and Real-Time AutoFocus technology coupled with a Real-Time tracking feature. It means that recording videos is not a pain even when you are recording on the go. In addition to its AutoFocus feature, you also have the option to set the focus location yourself. All you need to do is tap the screen and the software would do the rest.
Just like high-quality video, high-quality audio is also important for a vlog. It seems like Sony is well-aware of this fact because of which the ZV-E10 arrives with a Directional 3-Capsule Mic that allows you to record your voice and the background sounds accurate. The camera also features a windscreen that helps in reducing the wind noise significantly. However, if you want to use an external mic, you can use the mic jack for the same.
