Denmark-based electronics brand Bang & Olufsen has launched the Beoplay EQ, their first TWS earbuds that feature ANC or active noise cancellation. The earbuds look really good and are compact, serving the true purpose of earbuds. The company states that the earbuds contain a total of six microphones that draw their power from electrodynamic drivers. The surface of the earbuds is finished in aluminum touch and they will be offered in two color variants: Black and Sand.

The Beoplay EQ is powered by powerful 6.8 mm electrodynamic drivers that operate within a frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz. The earphones offer a customizable sound equalizer feature that can be controlled from the official Bang & Olufsen application. These earbuds have been designed by Thomas Bentzen, a Danish designer that kind of explains its stunning looks. The earbuds have been given the IP54 dust and water-resistant ratings.
The six microphones in the earbuds allow them to feature the Transparency Mode and ANC features. Each of these earbuds is powered by an 85mAh battery because of which you can expect a battery life of about 6.5 hours with the ANC on whereas the battery life extends to about 7.5 hours with the ANC off. The charging case of these earbuds houses a 340 mAh battery that can deliver a battery life of about 20 hours. The time taken by each earbud to go from 0 to 100 is about 90 minutes whereas the charging case requires about 100 minutes to charge completely. The charging case supports wireless charging as well and needs about one hour and fifty minutes to go from 0 to 100.
Talking about connectivity options, the earbuds support Bluetooth v5.2, SBC, AAC, and Adaptive codecs. These earbuds are extremely light with each of them weighing only 4 grams. Additionally, the charging case weighs about 50 grams that takes the total weight of the earbuds and charging case to about 58 grams.
Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EQ: Price and Availability
Initially, the Beoplay EQ would be launched in American and European markets on August 19 with a price tag of 399 Dollars and 399 Euros respectively. This translates to about Rs. 29,500/ Rs. 35,300 in the Indian markets. However, we do not know when or will the Beoplay EQ hit the Indian markets. Stay tuned for more updates.
