Mi is already a dominant player in the Indian smartphone market and it seems like the Chinese tech giant plans on conquering the laptop segment as well. Just weeks ago, the Chinese brand launched the Redmi Notebook 15 series in India, and Xiaomi is now back with two premium Notebooks: Mi Notebook Pro, and Mi Notebook Ultra for Indian consumers. Xiaomi unveiled these Notebooks at its “Smarter Living 2022” event that took place on 26th August. The main highlights of these Notebooks are their display and latest Intel-core processors.
Mi Notebook Pro, and Mi Notebook Ultra: Specifications and Pricing
The Mi Notebook Ultra is the most expensive product by Xiaomi in the Indian markets to date. The laptop’s body is made up of aluminum and it is both sturdy and light. The Notebook Ultra weighs only 1.7 KG and is 17.9mm thick.
The display present on the Notebook Ultra is the main highlight of the laptop. You get a 15.6-inch 3.2K IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 3200x2000p. The screen also supports a 90Hz fast refresh rate, in addition to features like DC dimming, blue-light filter, 100% sRGB color gamut, and more.
On the other hand, the Notebook Pro boasts of a smaller 14-inch 2.5K QHD+ display with a maximum brightness of over 300 nits. The screen also supports features like DC dimming, blue-light filter, 100% sRGB color gamut, and more.
Both the Notebook Pro and Notebook Ultra are powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors. You also get up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM coupled with 512GB of NVMe SSD storage. Both the laptops also feature the latest Intel Iris XE graphics card which can handle demanding tasks easily. On the other hand, the Chinese variants feature the Nvidia MX450 graphics card.
The Notebook Series is not very generous when it comes to ports as you get a USB-A port and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the right side. On the left side, you get a Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI port, a USB-A, and a USB-C port. In terms of connectivity options, the laptops have support for both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.2.
Let’s now talk about battery performance. Xiaomi claims that both these laptops can last for over 10 hours on a single charge. A 70 Wh charger takes care of the charging and it can charge the laptops within an hour. Additionally, both these laptops run on Windows 10 and you will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 in the future without any extra cost.
