The need for a fast internet connection is gradually rising, and it is almost at its peak now, thanks to the rapidly growing work-from-home culture, online schooling, and, of course, the rising gaming industry. Today, we have numerous devices at home that need a good and stable internet connection to work, so having a good wifi router is necessary.
No matter your work needs, wifi six routers have got you covered. This recently upgraded wifi technology delivers uninterrupted high-speed internet and maintains an equal speed among your devices, which the previous generation of routers was not very good at.

These are the best wifi six routers in India that you can buy right now
ASUS GT-AX11000 ROG
The Asus GT-AC11000 ROG is probably one of the best wifi 6 routers that money can buy. It is one of the flagship routers from the Asus ROG, specially designed for gamers who want high-speed connectivity on their numerous devices. It has a plethora of features, including almost everything that you can think of and even more than that. The pricing is undoubtedly high compared to the regular routers, but the offers’ features easily justify its pricing.
The Asus GT-AX11000 ROG is powered by Broadcom’s BCM43684 wifi chip, which creates a tri-band 802.11ax network called the wifi 6. This chip houses a quad-core 1.8GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM and 256MB of space, which will be used for firmware and settings. This router has already benchmarked a max transmission speed of 10.8 Gbps using the 802.11ax hardware, which is not so common in general devices. But when it comes to the well-known 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, they can transmit at a max speed of 1148 Mbps and 4804 Mbps, respectively.
The design has a big square-shaped body with eight antennas (two on each side). The router’s weight is about 1.7 kg, much more than any other wifi router I have ever encountered. On the router’s centre, you will see a big ROG logo lit by Aura RGB lighting, which looks pretty cool with the body. You will see a massive vent at the back of it for the heat to escape easily. I must mention that there is no option to mount this router on your wall, so you will need to put it on your desk or somewhere in the horizontal position.
The Asus GT-AX11000 ROG has 4 x LAN ports, 1 x WAN port, 1 x 2.5 Gbps LAN / WAN port, and 2 x USB 3.0 ports. On the left-hand side, wifi, WPS, and Boost buttons boost your game traffic and lower your ping rate and game latency. Meanwhile, the router’s web interface is pretty intuitive and one of the best routers I have personally tested.
So overall, the Asus GT-AX11000 ROG is one of the best gaming routers you can get on the market right now. Of course, it is expensive and bulky, but its features are unmatchable. If you are a gamer who wants a high-speed router that offers super-low latency and that too for a wide area, then the Asus GT-AX11000 ROG is one of the best wifi routers you can get right now.

ASUS TUF AX5400
Moving on to our next router, we have the Asus TUF AX5400, another gaming wifi 6 router from Asus that promises speeds up to 4.8Gbps on wifi 6 compatible devices. Let’s face it, not all of us would be willing to invest the hefty amount that Asus GT-AX1000 ROG asks for but still want a good gaming router that gives you a phenomenal performance and still manages to cover a wide area of your house than the Asus TUF AX-5400 could be what you are looking for.
The Asus TUF AX5400 features a Game Boost mode, a dedicated gaming port, Open NAT and VPN Fusion. It houses a 1.5 GHz Broadcom chipset along with 512 MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash storage. The router’s design makes it look more like an aircraft than a wifi router. Similar to the Asus GT-AX11000 ROG, it is impossible to mount this on your wall, so you must put it on your table or somewhere horizontally.
Moving on to the connectivity options, you will get 4 x Gigabit LAN ports (out of which one is a dedicated port for gaming), 1 x Gigabit WAN port, and 1 x USB 3.0 Type-A port. You also get six antennas placed at the back of the wifi router. You can quickly set up the router from the setup page or the Asus Router Mobile application. It offers a max speed of up to 5400 Mbps on the 5.0 GHz frequency and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
Overall, the Asus TUF AX5400 is a perfect gaming router if gaming is one of your priorities. It also has a dedicated gaming LAN port and a gaming mode that prioritizes your connection over any other connection, thus reducing latency and ping. It supports Asus’s AiMesh 2.0, which allows you to connect multiple routers to create an extended wifi network range without losing or degrading the signal quality.

ASUS AX3000
TP-Link Archer AX5400
The next wifi router on our list is the TP-Link Archer AX500, another high-performance dual-band wifi 6 router that costs way less than the gaming routers we discussed above and still performs impressively. It also supports the 160 MHz modes, so if you have devices with a 160 MHz compatible adapter, you can experience high-speed connectivity over the 5 GHz bands.
The AX5400 has a simpler look and can be easily mounted on your wall, unlike the flashy-looking gaming routers that must be placed on a table or desk. It comes with six antennas that are placed on the backside of it. A 1.5 GHz Triple-Core CPU powers it along with 512 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage. It can transfer data at a max rate of 4804 Mbps on a 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
TP-Link claims it can connect to up to 200 devices simultaneously, which is as impressive as it sounds. The router can be easily managed using the web console or TP-Link’s mobile app, TP-Link Tether. The web console gives you all the advanced options, while the mobile has a comparatively simpler interface, which I prefer. The interface of both the web console and the mobile app is pretty well optimized.
Moving on to the connectivity options, you will get 4 x Gigabit LAN ports and 1 x Gigabit WAN port. You also get a single USB 3.0 Type-A port on the side, allowing you to share and transfer files. Meanwhile, all the LED indicators are placed at the front of the router, making it easy to know their status.
The TP-Link Archer AX5400 is a good option for those who want a good wifi 6 router for their homes. It costs way less than other fancy-looking wifi 6 routers and performs very well.

Asus RT-AX55
Next on our list of best wifi 6 routers is the Asus RT-AX55, one of the most pocket-friendly wifi 6 routers from Asus. Like other Asus routers, you can use this as a mesh system by connecting it with other Asus routers, which really comes in handy if you have a big area to cover. You can also mount these on your walls, which was impossible with the other two Asus gaming routers we discussed earlier.
The Asus RT-AX55 looks simpler and smaller when compared to the other two Asus routers. It has got four antennas at the back of it. The body has a plastic build with a glossy textured pattern over it. At the front, you will get all five status LEDs that inform you about the network status. At the back of the router, you will get 1 x Gigabit WAN port, 4 x Gigabit LAN port, a WPS button, and the power switch. Unfortunately, there is no USB port that I had expected at this price point.
It is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Broadcom chipset along with 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage. The router can reach up to 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. It supports MU-MIMO and OFDMA, allowing routers to manage multiple devices simultaneously easily. Asus also offers lifetime free AiProtection, which protects your devices from internet threats.
Overall, the Asus RT-AX55 is a pretty good router if you need a good wifi six router with cool perks like AiProtection. There are still some things that you should be aware of before making it your final pick. The build quality of the Asus RT-AX55 is not as good as some other routers in the same price segment. It also lacks a USB port to use your router for file sharing. Besides that, the Asus RT-AX55 is a good wifi 6 router.

HUAWEI AX3 AX3000
Moving down to the next router on our list, we have the Huawei AX3 AX3000, the most affordable wifi 6 router. This router is usually priced at around Rs. 4,000, which is way less than most of the routers on our list. The router is one of the thinnest wifi routers I have ever seen. The design is pretty neat and has four flat antennas on the back.
It only comes in a matte white variant and has a single LED at the front. A Quad-core 1.4 GHz CPU powers the router with 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM. The back of the router has all the ports, which are 1 x WAN port, 3 x LAN ports, a small hole for the reset button, and the power switch. It also has a dedicated NFC area on the top where you can tap your NFC-enabled Android device to quickly connect to the wifi without needing to enter credentials. It only works with Android devices, so I must apologise to the iOS-using folks.
Huawei claims that the router offers a max data transfer rate of 3000 Mbps, which theoretically sounds amusing. It offers a speed of 2402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and a data transfer speed of 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Apart from that, you can set parental controls on your kid’s devices and even set speed limitations, which is handy if you have multiple users connected to your router.
Overall, the Huawei AX3 is a pretty good entry-level wifi 6 router that you can go for if you don’t want to spend a hefty amount of money on your wifi router. It is not a mesh wifi, making it suitable for smaller houses without huge area coverage.

TP-Link AX1500
The next wifi 6 router on our list is the TP-Link AX1500, which is very similar to the AX1800 that we just discussed and is the cheapest wifi 6 router TP-Link offers. Design-wise, the TP-Link AX1500 looks identical to the TP-Link AX1800 with the same textured plastic body and glossy touch at the top. It also has the same four antennas at the backside, which can be turned in any direction for better coverage.
The factor differentiating the TP-Link AX1500 from the AX1800 is that instead of using a quad-core CPU, it uses a 1.5 GHz tri-core processor. Of course, it makes a difference, but it still performs well enough for its price. Another noticeable difference is the speed difference, which is the maximum data transfer speed on offer. The AX1500 can reach a max data transfer rate of 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, which is the same as the AX1800, but on the 2.4 GHz band, the max speed on offer is 300 Mbps.
Moving on to the connectivity, you get the same 4 x LAN ports and 1 x WAN port at the back of the router. You miss the USB 2.0 port, which could be used for file sharing. Apart from that, you get the same console and the same mobile app to configure your router.
The TP-Link AX1500 is a good choice for those who are on a really tight budget as it falls in the most affordable wifi 6 router segment, with its price being close to Rs. 4,500. Yes, you will need to miss out on features like a little low max data transfer rate and lack of a USB port, but it is still one of the most value-for-money wifi 6 routers at this price point.

TP-Link Deco X60
Finally, the last router is a wifi 6 Mesh System with multiple routers connecting to create a mesh network. You can get up to a pack of 3 routers if you have a house with a wide area to cover. You also get options with two and even one router. One of the routers needs to be set as the primary router, and the rest of the routers will extend the wifi range.
The router is a cylindrical-shaped node that looks identical to each other. They come in a single white colour option and are pretty compact in size. You will find 2 Gigabit LAN ports and a power jack at the back of each node. The node hides all six antennas inside of it, along with a 1 GHz quad-core processor. This router can deliver a max data transfer speed of 2402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
It features all the wifi 6 technologies like 1024 QAM, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and more. However,, it lacks USB ports and a Multigig port, which is expected from a router of this price segment. But if we keep that aside, it has many features like malicious content filtering, intrusion prevention, and even device quarantine for infected devices. You can easily set up the router using the web-console app or the mobile application, which I think is not the best I have used but does the job without any issues.
Overall, the TP-Link Deco X60 is a wifi 6 mesh system for those who are looking for a wifi router to cover a large area. It has plenty of security features and a simple yet elegant design that looks good. This system is also good for those with multiple house floors needing wifi. You will miss some features like USB file sharing, but I guess it’s worth it for a compact wifi system like this.
With this last router, I would like to end my list of India’s best wifi 6 routers. If you have any questions or queries, please drop them down in the comment section below, and I will try to reach out as soon as possible. Thanks for reading.
