Last night, Google unveiled its new smart audio speaker ā the Nest Audio – alongside the Google Pixel 4a, Pixel 5, and Chromecast with Google TV products.
An update to the original Google Home, the Nest Audio speaker has changed compared to the previous Google Home smart speaker. With a new slim profile design, the speaker looks really beautiful and eye-catchy.
It comes with a list of acoustic upgrades for a better music listening experience, the smart speaker has 50 per cent stronger bass and is 75 per cent louder compared to the original Google Home Speaker. Google says it spent almost 500 hours of tuning to deliver āfull, clear, and naturalā sound on this smart speaker. And the speaker also has āMedia EQā feature, that automatically tunes itself to whatever a user is listening to.
The new Nest Audio smart speaker has a 19mm tweeter and a 75mm mid-woofer thatās squeezed inside the enclosure that is made from 70 per cent recycled plastic. Further, there are 3 far-field microphones for voice assistance with a physical microphone mute switch and just like the previous speaker, there are touch controls for adjusting the volume.
The company also optimized the grill, fabric and materials for distortion-free audio. The speaker is powered by a 1.8GHz Quad-Core Cortex-A53 chipset and features a High-performance ML hardware engine. On the connectivity side, it supports Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, and has a built-in Chromecast.

The Google Nest Audio comes in Sage, Sand, Sky, Chalk, Charcoal colour options, and price of Rs. 7999, but it will be available at a special launch price of Rs. 6999 when it goes on sale onĀ FlipkartĀ during Big Billion Days Sale from October 16th.
