Design & Build
On the design front, the JBL T450 looks very stylish and classy. You will definitely get a premium feel while seeing these headphones for the first time. Build and finishing is also good, the entire body of these headphones is made of plastic. There is no any metal part in head section and adjustable belt, but it doesn’t matter because JBL uses good quality plastic over here.
The cable quality of these headphones is really good. The best part is that it comes flat tangle-free design and 1.2 m length. And honestly, It looks very durable and strong. The microphone is situated on the left side of the cord. Which is come with Single Button Remote. You can control music and call, with help of this button. With a single press, you can pause or play music. With the double press, you can also change music track. You can even receive or cut call using this button.
Comfort
When talking about comfort, I am quite happy with JBL T450. It is quite sturdy and easily bends, without hurting your head. Having said that there’s no cushioning on the headband and the earpieces are somewhat tight. The slightly tight fit does a good job of cutting out external noise though. But because of the tight fit, the headphones seem to be slightly uncomfortable while using for long periods of 2-3 hours (though of course, It could be my big head).
But I like to say, earcups are lined with an incredibly soft cushion. Honestly, the ear cushion, in particular, are very soft and plush. The another best part is that it has a foldable ear cup design, with which you can easily rotate the earpieces in direction of the headband. The foldable ear cup design comes handy when you are packing your bags for travelling. Ohh, I forgot to mention the headphone is very lightweight, only 146g.
Sound quality
When coming to sound quality, I am quite happy with these JBL headphones. It does not disappoint you on bass and sound quality. The tight-fitting and right size of ear module does help in reducing the noise and makes the music more pleasantly enjoyable. It comes with 32nm dynamic drivers, that’s why you get very deep and clear bass. The best part is that the headphones sound very clear even at maximum volume. Not only it has great bass, but it is good on treble and has great mid as well. I’m also impressed by the sound sounding effects of this headphone.
Honestly, I do not agree with ‘Extra Bass’ tagline of these JBL headphones. Why because the Bass sound is clear and deep but it’s not heavy. Although there is no any disadvantage in it. But most of Indians prefer heavy bass in their headphones. so if you are one of these, then Ignore these JBL headphones and go for Sony MDR-XB450. But if you like to feel the music, then you can buy JBL T450 without a doubt.
Final Word
Overall, the sound quality of these headphones is absolutely great in its price range. If you spend more money you’ll definitely get more quality but when alternatives start off at about Rs.1700 it’s pretty unreasonable to ask for much more from the JBLs. If you’re looking for an affordable set of On-Ear headphones, they’re definitely ones to check out. More info Please watch ‘ JBL T450 ‘ review video on my Youtube channel Geekman.
