Lenovo announced two new laptops in their Yoga series of laptops during the Tech World 2021 event: the 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Carbon OLED laptop, and the bigger 16-inch Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro ultra-slim laptop. Both these laptops run on the AMD Ryzen 5000 series of processors, coupled with discrete graphics units. One of the main highlights of these new laptops is that they will ship with Windows 11 out of the box. In addition to the laptops, Lenovo also announced the launch of the IdeaPad Duet 5, a 13.3-inch Chromebook running on the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 Compute platform, and Google’s proprietary ChromeOS.

Yoga Slim 7 Carbon
The Yoga Slim 7 features a 14-inch QHD+ display with a higher refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a peak brightness level of 400 nits. The laptop runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U mobile processor coupled with up to Nvidia GeForce MX 450 graphics card. The processor is coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 1 TB PCIe SSD storage. The laptop draws its power from a 61Wh battery that can last for up to 14 hours on continuous use. In terms of connectivity options, you get support for Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Yoga Slim 7 starts at $1,289.99 and will be launched in October 2021.
Yoga Slim 7 Pro
The Slim 7 Pro houses a 16-inch display with Dolby Vision HDR support and a peak brightness level of 500 nits. The laptop runs on AMD Ryzen 7 5800H mobile processor, coupled with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 or Integrated Radeon graphics unit. The laptop ships with up to 16GB memory and 1 TB SSD storage space. The battery capacity of the Slim 7 Pro is 75Wh and it can last for up to 13 hours on a single charge. In terms of connectivity options, you get support for Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Yoga Slim 7 Pro starts at $1,449 and will be launched in October 2021.
IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook
The Duet 5 Chromebook features a 13.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a maximum brightness level of 400 nits. The Duet 5 Chromebook runs on the Snapdragon 7C Gen 2 Compute Platform with up to 8GB memory and up to 256 gigs of eMMC SSD storage. The Chromebook draws its power from a 42Wh battery that can last for up to 15 hours on continuous use. In terms of connectivity options, the Duet 5 Chromebook supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, Google Assistant, and USI 1.0 stylus support. The IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook starts at $429.99 and will be launched in October 2021.
