Mi 10i Launch Date announced: After years, Xiaomi brought back its premium Mi series of smartphones to the country. The Chinese giant has already unveiled its Mi 10 and Mi 10T series in India and it looks like the company is going to add one more device to its portfolio. Mi 10i could launch in the country on January 5. Xiaomi took it Twitter today teasing its upcoming smartphone. Although the tweet does not explicitly name the smartphone, it reveals that the new phone comes with a quad-rear camera setup starring the 108 MP primary unit.
With the teaser, Xiaomi has given its fans something to look forward to early next year. While this is not completely a new piece of information to us considering the device has been playing an active part in the rumor mill and leaks for quite some time now! Reports also suggested that the Mi 10i is the rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G that was launched in China recently. Do note that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G released in China is very different to the Indian variant.
Coming back to the tweet, it did not reveal a lot of information. But the short teaser video tweeted offers us with enough details and hints that the device is indeed the Mi 10i. The teaser showcases the device with quad-rear camera setup and highlights the 108 MP sensor. As mentioned earlier, the Mi 10i did not come out of the blue as it has recently passed through Geekbench with a model number M2007J17I.
The benchmarking site reveals that the device is running Android 10 OS and is packed with 8 GB of RAM. The device is grounded on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC with a 1.80 GHz base clock frequency. As long as the scores are concerned, Mi 10i has managed to get a single-core score of 652 and a multi-core score of 2004 points, respectively.
