Interestingly, unlike other similar series, One Piece has a relatively low amount of filler episodes. So, even if you skip the One Piece filler arc, a new viewer still has to contend with hundreds of episodes to catch up. Warship Island Arc

The first filler arc in the One Piece series is an eight-episode arc after the East Blue Saga. And before the Straw Hat Pirates embark on their journey into the Grand Line.
This arc focuses on a young girl named Apis, who escapes from a military warship and is saved by the Straw Hat Pirates while adrift in the ocean. The main objective of this arc is to assist Apis in returning a dragon to its homeland. However, they must also evade the pursuing military ship, as they are after the dragon due to its ability to create a potent medicine.
Post-Arabasta Arc
- Episodes: 131-135
The Post-Arabasta Arc is a One Piece filler arc that occurs right after the Arabasta Arc. It consists of five standalone episodes, each focusing on a different member of the Straw Hat Pirates.
In these episodes, the storyline explores the individual goals and histories of the crew members. However, Luffy and Nico Robin are not featured in this filler arc. Each episode delves into the experiences and adventures of characters like Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. While not directly tied to the main plot, these episodes offer a chance to explore the Straw Hat Pirates individually.
Goat Island Arc

In this arc, the Straw Hat Pirates are on an island while evading Marine ships. An old man and his goats inhabit the island, and the crew forms a friendship with him. As the Marines discover their presence on the island, the Straw Hat Pirates and the old man and his goats engage in a battle against the Marine forces.
They join forces to defend themselves and protect the island from the Marines. There is also a recurring theme of the Straw Hat Pirates participating in various games against the old man. In these games, they lose their belongings, including their ship, to the old man. However, they manage to win them back eventually.
Ruluka Island Arc
- Episodes: 139-143
The Ruluka Island Arc in One Piece starts with Luffy and the Going Merry crew being pursued by the Marines. They find themselves on Ruluka Island, governed by a dictator in the guise of an elderly pirate.
On Ruluka Island, the inhabitants are burdened with excessive taxation imposed by the dictator. The purpose behind this heavy taxation is to fund the construction of a structure known as the Rainbow Tower. As the Straw Hat Pirates explore Ruluka Island, they become entangled in the affairs of the residents and the clutches of the dictator. This One Piece filler arc can also be skipped like the other ones.
G-8 Arc

The G-8 Arc comes right after the Sky Island Saga. After leaving the sky and returning to the sea, they unexpectedly end up in a heavily-guarded Marine base instead of open waters.
In this arc, the crew devises a plan to retrieve their ship and find a way to escape from the fortified Marine base. The G-8 Arc presents a unique scenario for the Straw Hat Pirates, shifting from the fantastical Sky Island adventure to a more grounded and tense situation where they must outsmart the Marines and reclaim their freedom.
Ocean’s Dream Arc

Something strange happens to everyone aboard the ship except for Robin in this arc. They suddenly lose all memories of being part of the Straw Hat Pirates.
As a result, chaos ensues among the crew as they no longer recognize each other. This leads to a sense of distrust, with each member perceiving the others as potential threats. However, over time, they gradually realized they all shared a dream about a boy playing an underwater instrument. This revelation makes them suspect the boy is responsible for their memory loss. This One Piece arc unfolds as they embark on a quest to uncover the truth behind their amnesia.
Foxy’s Return Arc
- Episodes: 225-226
Foxy and two of his crew members, Porche and Hamburg, find themselves stranded in a tiny boat out at sea. Well, guess who comes to their rescue? Luffy, our fearless protagonist, spots them from the Going Merry and invites them on board until they locate their ship.
But It turns out another captain has taken control of Foxy’s ship. Now, Foxy has to step up and face this captain in an epic battle to regain command of his crew and reclaim his precious boat. It’s all about reclaiming what’s rightfully his.
Ice Hunter Arc
- Episodes: 326-335
The following One Piece filler arc is the Ice Hunter Arc. The Straw Hat Pirates stumble upon a crew in trouble on a damaged ship. Being the kind-hearted bunch they are, our Straw Hat heroes decide to lend a helping hand.
But it turns out that the people on that ship work for a family of bounty hunters called the Accino Family. Now, the Accino Family has a bone to pick with none other than our beloved Straw Hat Pirates. They’ve hatched a cunning plan to capture Luffy and the gang to claim the hefty bounties on their heads.
Spa Island Arc
- Episodes: 382-384
In the Spa Island Arc, the Straw Hat Pirates take a break on Spa Island, a fantastic man-made getaway with many fun activities. As the crew members go their separate ways to have a good time, they come across Lina, a young girl, and her sister Sayo.
Sayo is guarding a mysterious notebook that she keeps hidden from everyone. Unfortunately, Foxy and his crew also catch wind of this intriguing notebook and decide to attack in their relentless pursuit of it. They’re determined to get their hands on the notebook, setting the stage for an intense showdown between Foxy’s crew and the Straw Hat Pirates.
Little East Blue Arc

The next One Piece filler arc on the list is the Little East Blue arc. The Little East Blue Arc preludes to the One Piece Film: Strong World. The One Piece filler arc revolves around the abduction of Caesar Clown, a captive on the Straw Hat Pirates’ ship. Various groups are eager to seize Caesar for their own objectives, including the Straw Hat Pirates, who aim to recapture him. Each faction has distinct motives for wanting Caesar, primarily centered around exploiting his scientific expertise. This arc showcases the intense pursuit and conflicting interests of multiple parties vying for control over Caesar Clown.
Silver Mine Arc

To secure their freedom, they must navigate through the treacherous mine, engaging in battles against the pirate they encounter. Their objective is to successfully escape from the clutches of the Silver Mine Alliance, setting the stage for the events that unfold in the film.
Marine Rookie Arc

In the Marine Rookie Arc, the Sanji Retrieval Team faces a dire situation as Luffy consumes all their food supplies in his typical gluttonous fashion. Desperate to replenish their food supply, the group plans to infiltrate a Marine base.
They launch an attack on the base, incapacitating several Marines and taking their uniforms. Disguised as Marines, they venture into the base with the intention of raiding its food stores. However, Luffy’s appetite ultimately betrays their cover, leading to their capture and jeopardizing their mission. This One Piece Filler arc is somewhat enjoyable compared to other ones.
Cidre Guild Arc

The Cidre Guild Arc directly ties into the film “One Piece: Stampede.” In this arc, Luffy departs from the Thousand Sunny to acquire colas for the ship. However, he discovers that the factory supplying the colas is controlled by the Cidre Guild, a notorious group of bounty hunters.
Along his journey, Luffy crosses paths with Boa Hancock, and the two join forces to confront the bounty hunters together. Following the events of this arc, the story transitions to the Wano arc, which is part of the main series and does not include any filler episodes thus far.
Uta’s Past

Uta’s Past filler episodes are closely connected to the One Piece Film: Red. This One Piece filler arc introduces the character of Uta, who has a significant connection to Luffy’s backstory.
