OnePlus 9RT Launched With Snapdragon 888, 50MP Triple Cameras, And 6.62-inch FHD+ 120Hz Display

OnePlus just launched its the OnePlus 9RT, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone In chinese market. The new OnePlus 9RT comes with powerful Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, along with a AMOLED FHD+ display that boasts a 600Hz touch sampling rate and an upgraded 50MP rear camera.

The new OnePlus 9RT brings minor but substantial upgrades over its predecessor on the performance and camera side. The company also upgraded the display with higher refresh rate to pitch the Oneplus 9R series will be gaming oritend smartphone.

OnePlus 9RT Specifications

Stating with the display, the Oneplus 9RT comes with 6.62-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolutions and 120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports 600Hz touch sampling rate as opposed to the 240Hz touch sampling rate of its predecessor. So, yes the new Oneplus 9RT will register your touches even quicker than before, which will help you in gaming side.

Moving to second major update the camera, the OnePlus 9RT comes with an upgraded 50MP triple rear camera setup. The 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS. It is the same sensor that’s we seen in the OnePlus Nord 2, an upgrade over the 48MP sensor its predecessor packs. Along with the 50MP primary sensor, there is a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 123-degree FOV and a 2MP macro lens. For selfie and video call, there is a 16MP punch-hole selfie camera onboard here.

Now let’s talk about the major upgrade. The Oneplus 9RT comes with a Snapdragon 888 chipset along with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Yes, you also get an extra 7GB of virtual RAM.

Moving on second biggest update, the OnePlus 9RT comes with an upgraded 50MP triple rear camera setup. The 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor comes with an f/1.88 aperture and OIS. It is the same sensor that’s we seen in the OnePlus Nord 2, an upgrade over the 48MP sensor its predecessor packs. The phone runs on Oxygen OS 11 (based on Android 11). As a gaming-oriented phone, the Oneplus 9RT comes with a new five-layer 19067.44 sq. mm cooling system that keeps the temperatures in check during high-performance tasks or gaming. It also has a GPA frame stabilization technology on board to intelligently allocate resources needed for scheduling games to achieve a stable frame rate. It also features a separate Wi-Fi antenna for gaming.

In the battery department, the Oneplus 9RT comes with 4500mAh battery with 65W Warp charging support. There’s an under-display fingerprint sensor, along with a 5G support, USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6.

Price and Availability

The new OnePlus 9RT comes in Silver, Black and colour options and is priced at 3299 yuan (Rs. 38575/ US$ 512 approx.) for 8GB + 128GB variant, 3499 yuan (Rs. 40915/US$ 543 approx) for 8GB + 256GB variant and the top-end 12GB + 256GB variant costs 3799 yuan (Rs. 44425/US$ 589 approx.). It will be available for pre-order in China and starts shipping from 19th October. There is currently no word about when the OnePlus 9RT will launch in India and other countries.
