Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 launched with 14nm process and X9 LTE

The mobile processor maker Qualcomm has launched its latest processor Snapdragon 450 to replace the Snapdragon 435. Snapdragon 435 that is being used in several budgets 4G phones including Redmi 4 and Oppo A57. The Snapdragon 450 is expected to arrive on consumer phones in Q4 2017. This new Qualcomm processor comes with 25% increase performance and battery life, so we will get more powerful smartphones under 10000 Rs.

This is the first one in the Snapdragon 400 series that is based on 14nm process, it means big savings for energy efficiency – the company says up to 4 more hours. It also power draws when gaming will be reduced by up to 30% compares to old one.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 launched

The Snapdragon 450 also moves to the Adreno 506 GPU, which will offer a 25% boost in gaming performance. It has up to 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A53 cores for compute performance. Snapdragon 450 also brings support for new camera features. It supports up to 21MP for a single camera or dual 13MP + 13MP cameras with RGB and Monochrome sensor combination. It can do real-time bokeh effects, Eye based authentication, Hybrid Autofocus, 1080p at 60fps video recording, and Qualcomm Clear Sight camera features. This all features come for the first time in the Snapdragon 400 series.

Other improvements include, Quick Charge 3.0(80% charge in 35 minutes), USB 3.0, Snapdragon X9 LTE modem and 802.11ac with MU-MIMO support. It has a 300 Mbps down and 150 Mbps upload speeds.
