Realme recently released their new smartwatch in the market which is the Realme Watch 3 Pro which comes with a large AMOLED display and exciting new features. The Realme Watch 3 Pro could be considered the next upgraded version of the Realme Watch 2 and brings in new features like in-built GPS, an always-on display, and even Bluetooth Calling.

The new Realme feature-packed Watch 3 Pro is priced at around Rs. 5,000 and in this review, you will get to know how this watch is and if it would be able to win the title of the best-selling smartwatch in its segment just like its predecessors (AmazFIt Bip 3 Pro, Redmi Watch 2 Lite, AmazFit GTS2 Mini).

Box Content

Starting with the box contents, you will be getting some basic paperwork along with the smartwatch itself which in my case is Black but you can choose to go with the Grey variant. You will also be getting a magnetic charging dock which you can simply snap at the back of your watch to charge it.

Design & Build

Now coming to the design and build, Realme has again done a good job with the design. The Realme Watch 3 Pro has a square-shaped metal body which gives a nice premium touch to the smartwatch. The top glass is curved and has a glossy finish to it which again gives the watch a premium look but also acts as a fingerprint magnet. Meanwhile, the back of the watch is plastic and is prone to get scratched so you may need to take a little care of it.

Realme Watch 3 Pro design

You get a physical button on the right side of the watch that does more than just wake up the screen. You also get a microphone and speaker on the side of the watch. The build quality of the watch is impressive as well, thanks to the metal frame which makes the watch feel strong and sturdy in the hands.

Realme Watch 3 Pro design

Realme has taken good care of the comfort part as well. The watch weighs 41 grams which makes it quite lightweight allowing you to wear it for several hours without worrying about comfort. The 22 mm soft, skin-friendly strap belts are comfortable on the skin and do not itch your skin like some other cheap quality straps which is a good thing. These straps are removable and can be easily replaced with any third-party straps available on the internet. Well, to be honest, the straps are made up of good quality material so you won’t need to replace them that easily. It comes with IP68 ratings which means it can easily withstand dust, sweat, and light rains.

Realme Watch 3 Pro back side

Overall, the Realme Watch 3 Pro has a good-looking design with a sturdy build which is one of the best in its price segment. The watch is quite comfortable as well which is another plus point.

Display

Moving onto the display, you get a 1.78-inch AMOLED display panel with a resolution of 368 x 488 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display is quite bright and can be easily read even under bright outdoor lighting conditions. I found the display full of colors and the AMOLED panel makes the colors look bright and vibrant. Even the interface of the watch is full of colors which of course enhances your overall experience. The bezels are quite thin compared to most of the watches in this price segment which gives it an extra plus point over the other watches.

Realme Watch 3 Pro display

The display has got five levels of brightness with up to 20 seconds of screen-on time. You get 5 inbuilt watch faces and support for more than 100 amazing watch faces using the Realme Link app. The watch faces look absolutely amazing thanks to the bright AMOLED display panel. You can also put a custom watch face which will look good and the reason this time would be the 325 PPI on the display panel. The best part is that you even set a dynamic watch face which gives it a unique look.

Realme Watch 3 Pro display

One of the most interesting features which you will be getting is the always-on display. You get two always-on watch faces that look good with the overall design. The interesting part is that there is a smart mode feature that automatically turns off the always-on display when you are sleeping or when the watch is not in your hands. Having this feature enabled will save battery and help your watch to last longer.

Realme Watch 3 Pro display

Overall the display is one of the strong parts of the watch. The AMOLED panel is bright, vibrant, and looks absolutely premium which gives the Realme Watch 3 Pro an upper hand over its other competitors in the market.

Features & Performance

Now coming to the user interface of the watch. The watch has an intuitive interface that is really easy to use and works like charm. The same goes for the app as the Realme link app is one of the most optimized smartwatch apps in the market. Pairing the watch with your smartphone is quick and barely takes a few steps to pair. It easily synchronizes all the data with the smartphone app and has no problems like randomly getting disconnected which is a big problem in most budget-centered smartwatches. Well, I don’t think I need to explain how good the Realme Link app is. It is one of the most refined apps in the market right now which I personally love to use. The interface is super easy to navigate and records all your health-related data which you can access later. The interface of the watch is now more refined compared to the previous Realme smartwatches which is a good thing.

Now let us talk about the features, you get almost all the features that most of the smartwatches in this price segment have to offer. You will get features like activity tracking, sleep tracking, stress tracking, women’s health monitoring, and more but the best part is that you will also be getting in-built GPS tracking which is a plus point. The GPS comes with 5 GNSS systems that work really well and has no problems like frequently disconnecting which is quite common among budget-centered smartwatches.

Realme Watch 3 Pro UI

You also get the raise to wake feature which is not an uncommon feature today but is quite responsive on the Realme Watch 3 Pro which I cannot miss talking about. The watch also features 24-hour heart rate monitoring with a high heart rate and low heart rate alert which is really impressive and is quite rare to see at this price point.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Features

Coming to the fitness features, you will have more than 60 sports activities that you can track which is quite amazing. I only tried a few activities and they all worked really well. The watch also supports Bluetooth calling as it comes with an in-built microphone and speaker which does a decent enough job. Of course, you will get to hear some background noises when you are outdoors but you can still take a call without needing to take your phone out of your pockets.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Bluetooth calling

You also get other features like alarm, weather, camera control, music control, and even find my phone. You even get weather updates for the next few days which is a really nice feature. Now let us quickly discuss accuracy as well. In my week-long usage, I found the heart rate tracking and SPO2 tracking quite accurate compared to the other watches in this price segment. The activity tracking also worked pretty decently and the data recorded was very accurate.

Battery

Lastly, coming to the battery, you get a 345 mAh battery pack inside the Realme Watch 3 Pro which as per the company claims, can last for about 10 days which is quite impressive. Well, on the actual grounds, battery backup always depends upon the usage and the number of features you are planning to use. During my test, the watch lasted for about 6 to 7 days which is pretty decent and more than enough for normal users. The charging dock you get gets magnetically attached to the watch and fully charges in about 1.5 hours.

Verdict

Now coming to the most crucial part, is Realme Watch 3 Pro worth spending Rs. 5,000? Well, my answer would be yes. The watch is a feature-loaded package with the good build quality and design which makes it one of the best options available under a budget of Rs. 5,000 in the Indian market.

Yes, some other watches in the market offer similar features at the same price point like the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro, Amazfit GTS2 Mini, and Redmi Watch 2 Lite but the Realme Watch 3 Pro is still the most value-for-money smartwatch among them. You can still expect more accurate fitness features in the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro but you will still be missing Bluetooth calling and even AMOLED display which could be a lot to miss. So overall you will find more pros than cons of this watch which makes it one of the absolute best smartwatches under Rs. 5,000 in the Indian market, at least for now.
