Redmi took it to Twitter today by tweeting that Redmi 9 Power launch date for India has been set for December 17. Xiaomi announced its Redmi Note 9 series in China recently and the company is expected to launch the Redmi Note 9 4G (Chinese variant) as the Redmi 9T in global markets. The same device is speculated to be announced in India as the Redmi 9 Power. Xiaomi called this device a power-packed model in the portfolio.
The Chinese tech giant teased the launch of Redmi 9 Power a few days ago and fans are all excited to get their hands on the possible final phone in the Redmi 9 series for 2020. Although the device is a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G, the smartphone might bring a few changes to the table to meet the preferences of Indian consumers. Xiaomi has started sending out media invites for the launch and the company has confirmed that the launch will take place at 12 PM IST.
Amazon has also created a microsite for the same to highlight the fact it is Amazon exclusive device. Not just that, the device’s landing page on Mi.com did reveal that the device will come equipped with a 48 MP primary shooter on the back and will also have fast charging support. The landing page is also been updated with additional information which confirms that the device will also arrive with Hi-Res Audio and feature four color options.
We can expect the device to launch in two storage configurations. Both of these storage variants will come with 4 GB of RAM but the base variant will be coupled with 64 GB of onboard storage whereas the top variant will have 128 GB storage. The device is expected to start at Rs. 9,999 in India which roughly translates to $135.
