Samsung unveiled a Galaxy W21 5G, the successor of last year’s W20 5G in China. The new W21 is very much similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G but will be known as the “Samsung W21 5G” in the country.
The hardware is very similar – It comes with 7.6-inch QXGA+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2x display on the inside (main screen and second screen) with 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung Ultra-Thin Glass coated 6.2-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Flex display on the outside (known as a third display).
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 865+ chipset and in China, the phone comes with a maximum memory configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
On the design part, the Galaxy W21 is slightly taller than the Galaxy Z Fold2, and the backside looks different too, gold colour with vertical stripes. The battery remains the same – 4,500 mAh with 25W wired support and 11W wireless charging support.
The only major difference between both phones is that the Galaxy W21 has two SIM slots with 5G support and for better support, it has been developed in partnership with China Telecom.
The new Samsung W21 5G is now available for pre-order at a price of CNY 20,000 (US$ 3000 / Rs. 2,23,535 approx.), available for order at the official Samsung online store and will go on sale starting from November 20th.
