Sony Alpha 7S III Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Launched in India for Rs 3.35 Lakh

After the launch of Panasonic Lumix S5 mirrorless camera in India. The sony also expanded its own mirrorless lineup in the country with the launch of the new Sony Alpha 7S III. A successor to the Alpha 7S II which was released back in 2015, the Mark III is the sony newest full-frame mirrorless offering and has some noteworthy modifications in comparison to its predecessor.

Sony Alpha 7S III Specifications

The Sony Alpha 7S III comes with the 12.1MP full-frame Exmor R CMOS BIS image sensor and also has the new BIONZ XR image processing engine. The sony camera can able to shoot videos on 4K up to the  120-pixel and the videos of  1080p up to the  240-pixel but this not have the 8K recording capabilities of its predecessor. 

The video recording of the camera is e 4K 120-pixel with the 10-bit depth and also the 4:2:2 sampling. The recording modes which comes with the camera are All-Intra and MPEG-H HEVC/H.265 coding (XAVC HS). It also allows the user to record on 4K with the 60-pixel and the 16-bit RAW output with the external recorder via HDMI Type-A connector for additional post-production flexibility.

Sony Alpha 7S III has the flip-out 3-inch LCD touchscreen display and the best-redesigned menu system. It also has the 40-to-409,600 of ISO scale. The Sony Alpha 7S III offer user auto-focus of a hybrid system with the 759 point Phase detection AF sensors which will cover 92% of the image sensor and also the camera has the real-time eye AF with the real-time tracking.

The card slot of the camera is also new which is MRW-G2 which will work with the new CFexpress Type A memory cards and also with the tandard SDXC/SDHC (UHS-I and UHS-II) options.

Price and Availability

The price of the new Alpha 7S III camera is Rs. 3,34,900 and this will be available at the all Sony Center outlets, in the Alpha Flagship stores, and the major electronics retailers across the country. This will also available at the company’s online web store and the ShopatSC.com from October 15 which is Thursday.
