Xiaomi All Set to Launch RedmiBook Laptop In India On August 3

Since the launch of Xiaomi RedmiBook laptops in China, we all were expecting Xiaomi to expand this affordable laptop lineup in India as well. Finally, Xiaomi has listened to all India’s wishes, and they are planning to launch its first RedmiBook in India next month.

According to a tweet shared by Redmi India, Xiaomi is all set to launch the RedmiBook on 3rd August in India. Although there isn’t much known about the specifications of the Indian variant. You can check out the tweet shared by Redmi India down below.

For those who are new to this matter, laptop users have waited years for Xiaomi to launch the RedmiBook in India. Last year, Xiaomi filed a trademark for RedmiBook in India, and looking at this we all were expecting RedmiBook to get launched last year only. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and the launch was shifted to 2021.

Now, Xiaomi is finally launching its first RedmiBook in India next month. However, there isn’t much known about the model that is coming to India. Recently, Xiaomi launched RedmiBook 15 in Indonesia and considering this, we can expect the same model to launch in India as well.

RedmiBook 15: Specifications and Features

So, now that we are expecting the RedmiBook 15 to get launched in India, let’s look at some of its key specifications and features. It comes with a thin and light 15.6 inch full HD display. Weighing around 1.8kg, It has a thickness of 19.9 mm, making it a very portable laptop. In-display, you will get a 1920 x 1080p resolution, along with a pixel density of 141ppi and a contrast ratio of 500:1.

Talking about the powerhouse, the notebook is powered with an 11th Gen Intel Core i3 processor with Intel UHD integrated GPU. The CPU is supported with 8GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz, and can support up to 512GB SSD. For keeping the device awake, we have a 46Wh battery that is expected to deliver 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. RedmiBook 15 battery can get charged up to 50% in less than 33 minutes.

Now, coming to the I/O, it comes along with an array of ports that include two 3.0 USB-A ports, one USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port and an Ethernet port, a card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack for your headphones, and earphones.

In the connectivity region, the device comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5. We also have 2W stereo speakers that can easily manage DTS audio. For Zoom business calls, it has a 720p HD camera at the front. Moreover, it comes with the Windows 10 Home operating system out of the box.

Note that, there isn’t any confirmed news from Xiaomi that they are going to launch the RedmiBook 15 in India. But looking at the recent launch of RedmiBook 15 in Indonesia, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Xiaomi decides to launch the same model in India as well. Moreover, the only way to find out about the to be launched RedmiBook model is to wait till August 3rd.

Update: The price of RedmiBook in India is reported to be between 40,000 to 45,000.
