Today Xiaomi has announced the most expected Mi Band 3 in China, as it had promised. The new Xiaomi Mi Band 3 available in Black colour with bands in graphite black, hot orange and deep blue colours and is priced at US$ 26 (Rs. 1,780 approx.). It will be available in China from June 5th. There is also an NFC-enabled version with support for contactless payments for US$ 31 (Rs. 2,095 approx.), which will be available in September.
The Mi Band 3 has a 0.78” OLED panel with 128 x 80-pixel resolution. Compared to the Mi Band 2, it can display more characters including WhatsApp, Facebook or SMS messages, Weather info, caller ID and more. The biggest addition, however, is that the Band 3 now lets you not just view incoming calls but also answer them, without touching your phone.
The company also say that the Mi Band 3 is more comfortable on the wrist than its predecessor. And the band is waterproof for up to 50 metres so that you can take it for swimming. It comes with a larger 110mAh battery that promises about 20 days of standby. The Xiaomi also claim that it has improved activity tracking, which shows real-time data for running, walking, cycling and other activities.
